SUNDRE AIRPORT
The Sundre Airport has a 4,285 foot paved lighted runway, a modern terminal, thirteen hangars and a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), is operational 24/7 and is capable of providing access in marginal weather for Charters, Flight training,, Courier Services, Fixed-Wing Medevacs, STARS, Helicopter Services, Search & Rescue, Government, RCMP, Disaster Services, Tourists, Golfers and Wildlife Observation. The airport has also a helicopter pad. The nearest commercial and air freight services are at Calgary International Airport. With an airport, access to bus service, and numerous trucking and courier companies, transportation to and from Sundre is very convenient.
Pilots note that the Sundre Airport has information listed in the CANADA FLIGHT SUPPLEMENT and the GNSS Let-Down Approach in the RESTRICTED CANADA AIR PILOT (RCAP) and in JEPPESEN.
The Sundre Airport is a General Aviation type for business or pleasure. The 4,285 ft. hard surface Runway 14-32 can accommodate aircraft up to 50,000 lbs such as Bizjet Cessna Citation as well as Twin Otter, Beech King Air, Dash 8, DC-3, etc.
There is no user fee charge at this Mountain View County owned airport. The Terminal Building is open 24 hours with washrooms and payphone. "Under wing" camping is welcome.
There are no paid employees at the Sundre Airport. Information may be obtained by phoning local Sundre Flying Club volunteer at 403-638-9001 or the Mountain View County Airport Management Committee at the County Offices in Olds/Didsbury 403-335-3311 Ext. 183 or Ext.193.
The Sundre Airport is 3 miles (4.8 km) to the centre of the Town of Sundre where hotels, restaurants and taxis are available. There is no Courtesy Car or Car-Rental but there is a Pay Phone in the Sundre Airport Terminal Building. Sundre Taxi may be contacted at 403-638-8500.

The Sundre Airport is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is capable of providing access in marginal weather for Charters; Flight Training; Courier Services; Fixed-wing and Helicopter Medevacs; Search & Rescue; Government; RCMP; Disaster Services; Tourists; Golfers and Wildlife Observation.
