SUNDRE AIRPORT GNSS UNVEILING
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2008
In front of the L-39 Checkoslovakian Jet Trainer, left to right are
Gerald Ingeveld, Mountain View County Div. 5 Councellor; Alf Bicknell, GNSS Coordinator Sundre Flying Club; Ed McDonald, JetPro Consultants, designer of the Sundre GNSS and owner of the L-39 he used to do the calibration of the Sundre GNSS Let-Down.
A mock-up of the Financial Report for the Alberta Lottery Grant of $13,813.00 is being given to Ty Lund, MLA (Sundre) Rocky Mountain House.

Doris Giles owner of Fly Right! Springbank Airport also flew in with her twin-engine Piper Seminole equipped with the on-board computer and her copy of the Restricted Canada Air Pilot (R-CAP) showing the GNSS Let-Down Procedures for Sundre Airport.

Of course though the Sundre Flying Club had "ordered" clouds down to 500 feet to give Doris a work out, there wasn't a cloud in the sky. It was a perfect sunny day for a Fly-in and 15 aircraft arrived.
The Ultralight Calgary Club. COPA Board of Directors, Chair Bob Kirkby, and Bill Beaton, representing Alberta and the Northwest Territories, flew in with members of the Calgary Flying Club as their "Saturday Sortie".
