News from the Sundre Flying Club
The Sundre Flying Club's annual Christmas Dinner, hosted by President, Sheldon Valentine and Carla Valentine, on November 25, 2006, in the Coyote Creek Golf Clubhouse adjacent to the Sundre Airport, welcomed COPA Director for Alberta and the North West Territories, Sherry Cooper, Sky Wings Aviation, Red Deer, to honour Norman Cummins for his long time dedication to the Sundre Airport by presenting the Certificate of the new COPA Flight 146 Sundre Alberta to Norman as Captain along with son James Cummins as Co-Captain.

The Sundre Flying Club is registered with the Alberta Non-profit Society as the Mountain View Pilots and Flying Association but it has been known as "The Sundre Flying Club" since the early 1950's.

The Certificate reads:
COPA
CANADIAN OWNERS AND PILOTS ASSOCIATION
This is to certify that
COPA Flight No. 146
Sundre, Alberta

has been organized in accordance with the pertinent bylaws of the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association as approved by the Board of Directors of said Association for the purpose of achieving, through the joint efforts of the COPA members involved, the maximum potential growth and development of general aviation in Canada.
