Sundre Red Deer River Festival 2006
Greenwood Neighbourhood Place in cooperation with the Sundre Chamber of Commerce made arrangements for youth throughout Sundre to participate in the Red Deer River Festival Race 2006. The race started at 11:00 a.m. and wound up around 1:00 p.m. There were about 10 youth and adults on each boat. Otter Rafting donated the boats and guides free of charge which was awesome. It gave youth an opportunity they other words wouldn’t be able to have. Thanks Otter Rafting!  After the race the community gathered for a fair and festival, some of the booths included were: Temporary Tattoo’s , Karaoke, Photo Booth,, Sing a long, Penny Carnival which included cowboy roping, a maze, Jack in a box, painting, water balloon toss, and much more, Parent Link Information Booth. Face painting. Cotton Candy and many more youth focused and ran centers. Later in the day a family street dance was very successful with many many local community participated.
